Euphoria

For my sound I was heavily inspired by the TV show Euphoria on HBO. The show is very artistic visually and sonically by giving viewers an experience that is quasi an actual drug trip. The show is about a set of high school students who engage in drugs and battle mental disorder. The subject spoke to me as I have struggled with mental disorders and drug abuse and during my time in high school (2007-2011) I hadn't seen a show about teenagers dealing with these issues and I'm sure I would have at the very least felt less alone. The sound I created is supposed to mirror a bad drug trip and sound invoke paranoia. It isn't supposed to be pleasant or fun like I usually prefer my music to be. I'm not a music producer and (as of now) I lack the talent of creating something good, so I used that bro my advantage and purposefully created something bad. I used sounds from the trailer of the show including some spoken sentences I thought added to my track. There genres I blended in this piece is electronic with a bit of spooky/terror music. It is meant to make the listener at least understand a bad trip which happens constantly. I also made the cover art on photoshop using an official image from the show and distorting it and adding a glitter filter.
